About Us
Air Con, Inc traces its history to 1947. Originally, the company sold Honeywell heating/air conditioning systems, primarily for home use. In the 1950s, Air Con, Inc began installing them. The company has grown ever since.
In the late 1950s, the company expanded into advanced HVAC installations for commercial and public buildings including courthouses and police stations. The company also developed expertise in advanced plumbing installations and became mechanical contractors.
Air Con, Inc’s field of expertise continued to grow. Today, the company’s areas of expertise include hospitals (more than 70 hospital projects have been completed to date), office complexes, pharmaceutical companies, laboratories, cosmetics developers, computer/data centers, condominium developments and other large commercial installations.
Air Con, Inc. remains in the family, and is owned and managed by Douglas and John Delaney, sons of original partner Floyd Delaney.
"We focus on advanced, large-scale commercial projects," said John, "but we've been able to maintain the accessibility and feel of a family-run business. Doug and I are always available to talk with our clients, either on the phone or at the jobsite. Our project managers are the best in the business; when contractors call us, they often request specific foremen. We're happy to accommodate them."
Today, Air Con, Inc. offers full-service design and installation for both new and renovation plumbing and HVAC projects. The company is LEED-certified and its staff includes licensed Professional Engineers. Air Con, Inc. utilizes up-to-date technology in every aspect of the business – from estimating to installations.
